Correspondence and segmentation of multiple rigid motions via epipolar geometry

چکیده
This paper presents a new approach to matching and segmenting multiple rigid motions using epipolar constraint. Epipolar geometry underlying the motion images are rst recovered, and the epipolar equations are used to reduce search for correspondence from 2-dimensional to 1-dimensional, thus resolving the \aper-ture problem". Segmentation of image into dierent motions is simultaneous. Experimental results show that this approach is eective and ecient.

Two-View Segmentation of Dynamic Scenes from the Multibody Fundamental Matrix
We present a geometric approach to 3D motion segmentation of multiple moving objects seen in two perspective views. Our approach is based on the multibody epipolar constraint and its associated multibody fundamental matrix, which are generalizations of the epipolar constraint and of the fundamental matrix to multiple moving objects. We show how to linearly solve for the multibody fundamental ma...

We present an algorithm for identifying and tracking independently moving rigid objects from optical ow. Some previous attempts at segmentation via optical ow have focused on nding discontinuities in the ow eld. While discontinuities do indicate a change in scene depth, they do not in general signal a boundary between two separate objects. The proposed method uses the fact that each distinct ob...
متن کاملSpace-Time Invariants for 3D Motions from Projective Cameras
Recently, it has been shown that invariants on motions can be extracted from sequential images and these can be applied for recognizing dynamic events from images viewed from arbitrary viewpoints. These invariants are called space-time invariants since they are defined in space and time. Unfortunately, the existing space-time invariants are limited for planar motions viewed from affine cameras....

We present a geometric approach for the analysis of dynamic scenes containing multiple rigidly moving objects seen in two perspective views. Our approach exploits the algebraic and geometric properties of the so-called multibody epipolar constraint and its associated multibody fundamental matrix, which are natural generalizations of the epipolar constraint and of the fundamental matrix to multi...
